Is Pentium 3 better than AMD Athlon?
I have Gigabyte 6VTX and what it supports is intel's cpus (P3 and celeron), i am thinking about a new CPU but my friend said i should stay with intel and get a pentium 3, but when i change the benchmarks in a lot of websites, AMD has better benchmarks, does that mean AMD Athlon is better?

athlon's performance is better than PIII but... if u have not enough knowledge and time to maintain athlon system, maybe u'll feel it's a suck system than u can imagine... 'cause the intel system is industrial-standard and the athlon is only a compatibility system...i think u know what that mean... if u just want to use computer at ease...i think the intel is better than amd,if u really care about the 3~5%(um...1~2second average...) better performance,u can choose the amd... anyway, by your choise... |
