MMC 7.7 for the TV Wonder (WinXP) does install, and works fine.
The method I used:
Install the MMC 7.1 device drivers.
MMC version 7.6 installed first, using the SETUP.INX from MMC version 7.5.
(File INSTALL.INI edited so "DetectHW =1" is changed to "DetectHW=0".)
Once the MMC 7.7 files are uncompressed to c:\ATI\support, over-write the file SETUP.INX with the file from MMC 7.5. Then edit file INSTALL.INI in Notepad. Any portion you don't want to have installed, change "=1" to "=0". Then run setup.exe, then reboot, and TV tuner portion is now updated to version 7.7.
Yes, this requires downloading versions 7.1, (7.5 can be found on the Radeon 8500 CD), 7.6 and 7.7, about 33 MB. But hey, it works.
