i need to unlock my 1600+
Hi everyone.
I type chinese too slow. so I type english instead. hopes that's ok with you people. I have my 1600+ for about 1 week. I am currently running at 150x10.5. xp1867 (by Sandra 2001 latest). I have Gigabyte's GA-7VTXE (no multiplier change on board) can I unlock my CPU and set at 12.5x multiplier? I want to run at 150x12.5 if possible. my ram can run at 153 FSB no problem. anybody help?? dave.

I understand your question , but I have no answer for you. I am here to take a look of all the articles, found that you are alone, so that's why I like to say some thing. However, most of the guys here read only Chinese. your should say again briefly. Should get helps soon. |

Why dont you try to knock down the L1 bridge so that you can use 133 x 12.5 which gives you the 1.6g of Athlon XP 2000+, i think this way is better than running at 150 x 12.5, cos when you run at 150, it may causing a slow damage towards your other hardwares, such as VGA, PCI cards or HD. So in long run, i dont think it's a good way to overclock and run at 150 x 12.5, cos maybe it seems to be stable right now, but in long run, will it still maintain the stability? That's what i am thinking about
at moment my athlon XP1600+ is running as athlon XP 1800+ with 133 x 11.5 at a very stable condition. Maybe you should try this.
