以前會玩 mpeg-4 是因為那時只有CD-RW ,為了兼顧畫質跟容量~~
而且週遭一堆人根本不知道要怎樣放~~ 所以還是壓成SVCD給他們~~ 至於網上流傳的那些xvid 大都是看看就刪了~~ 好看的就去買DVD來收藏~~根本不想燒~~ 所以發現我現在空片的用量越來越省了~~  等到 支援外掛字幕的 mpeg-4 撥放機普及後~~才會考慮在玩xvid吧~~

MPEG4當初好像就是為了網路流傳又可兼具品質，不過像日本這樣網路頻寬先進的國家，很多影片都是用DVDISO在流傳，
現在DVD燒錄機只會往越來越普及這條路走，再加上寬頻發達或是光纖化的話(我知道這還有得等)，那MPEG4就真的會衰落了吧， 至少在電影影片這方面來說， 對我來說，MPEG4最大好處就是可以看到體積小而且又高品質的Xvid格式的DVDrip動畫，而且一兩片DVDR可以備份一部。 |

在寬頻的普及下
以後可能邁向如網友說的DVDR-ISO 看來未來的Mpeg4展望不被看好 那我說一個他的好處吧∼ 有一次朋友跟我借片子回去看 他自己把字幕檔裡面的男主角改成他的名字 女主角改成他暗戀的對象 不知道這樣會不會有點變態 看起來感覺是怎樣 後來其他同學跟我借片 就會要求我用記事本取代的功能 改成同學的名字 ...................... |
