【圖文】新力推出Hi-MD驅動器DS-HMD1
　　日本新力公司將在5月21日發售專門用於讀取數據的Hi-MD驅動器“DS-HMD1”，其零售價格大約是15000日元(折合人民幣1200元)。該驅動器採用了外置USB連接設計，共有綠、紅、銀、黑四種色款。最為特別之處就是通過USB介面從電腦主機取電，除了標準的1GB Hi-MD碟片之外，該驅動器還可以將以往80分鐘的標準MD碟片格式化為305MB的數據盤。

隨驅動器一同附送的還有“SonicStage Ver.3.1”專用管理軟體，使用者可以通過該軟體製作音樂碟片，不過“DS-HMD1”並沒有播放能力。Hi-MD碟片的數據傳輸速率最大為9.8Mbps，支援USB1.1標準，整個“DS-HMD1”的外形尺寸為86.0×79.3×22.9mm，重量為100g。
