今天中午的新聞說到有個人開這款車氣囊自動爆開,造成該名駕駛右眼受傷,到目前還無法取出卡在眼睛裡面的眼鏡鏡片,在新聞中還提到這款車早在美國就已經宣布車輛回廠檢修,但是在台灣的和泰汽車卻沒有做出任何對這款車輛的回應,使得該名駕駛枉瞎右眼,原不相信這段新聞報導,不過經由Google搜尋查証以後,發現確實有要求回廠檢修這件事情,且新聞中提及和泰汽車並沒有依照美國豐田執行回廠檢修之動作,個人認為這樣大的車廠卻沒有重視消費者權益的態度,希望以後大家再買車時要考慮再三~~

Description of Defect: If liquid is spilled in the console box area, the air bag warning light can illuminate during normal driving conditions and cause the air bag to malfunction.
Consequence of Defect: This leakage condition could cause the air bag to inadvertently deploy.
Corrective Action: Dealers will install a protective cover over the air bag sensor to prevent possible malfunction caused by the spilling of liquid substances on the sensor. Air bag sensors damaged by previous liquid spillage will be replaced.
Owner Notification: Owners have already been notified of this campaign.
