tualatin 512K 要us318.75

http://www.theinquirer.net/15070102.htm
GIANT PC DISTRIBUTOR Tech Data now has the 1.13GHz Tualatin with 512K of cache listed on its pages for its dealers to buy.
So far there is no stock, but the part is pretty pricey. Here are the details:

Manufacturer INTEL
Manufacturer Part# BX80530C1133512
Description BOXED PENTIUM III 1.13GHZ 512K 133FSB FCPGA
TD Part# 260706
Availability 7/13/01 4:27:26 PM
Cost $318.75

This shows that a Tualatin with 512K cache is not the processor of choice if you're looking for a low cost system.

The jolly good c't magazine published some benchmarks comparing the Pentium III Coppermine platform with the Tualatins a couple of weeks ago, but unfortunately I can't find the figures online. If the lads have put the benchmarks up I'll be happy to link to that page.

Benchmarks c't used include 3DMark 2000/2001, PovRay, BAPco, Quake, and Linux.

The PIII with 512K cache is to be used in 1U and 2U configurations, mainly. But it's interesting that La Intella is also selling it through its system integrator and retail routes to market - hence it appearing in boxed motherboard mode. µ
