I read the link that you posted, the one who succeed was using a Cmedia 8738 sound card,which is not the same with my Sblive.
But I find the difference is that I am using a Matrox G400 display. But I don't think it is a problem.
Someone suggested me that it may be the problem of win2000, but I also noticed that those who succeed are using win2000, too.
So I am confused?!
I may think the problem is arsing from the OEM I/O card, but I bought it after reading review of MD recording successfully.
My desire is just to make a home threater @ bedroom.
If I need to use more $ to buy teh orignal I/O card (creative, which ), I would rather spend a little more to buy a China made DVD player and plug it with my old Dolby Pro Logic system and my Old 32" Sony TV.

Do you all think I will be succeed if I use a Yamaha 744 with optical digital out port ( as I have one in my younger sister'PC)?

Please help!
