RADEON II to Come Soon [10:30 am] Rat
According to Rage3D, RADEON II from ATI is to appear in 6 months. Here is a quote:
Brian Hentschel from ATI has confirmed R200 will ship in retail form starting Q4 of this year, which begins in October. He also told the R200 was right on track and is not delayed. ATI will begin sampling RADEON II cards to OEMs in the summer. Until then we can expect the higher clocked RADEON SE cards to be released in April\May.
In fact, as to unofficial sources, RADEON SE graphics card expected to run at 200MHz core and 200MHz (400MHz DDR) memory frequencies is supposed to be none other but the overclocked regular RADEON 64MB VIVO. We expect RADEON SE to perform instead of the current RADEON VIVO in the today's graphics market, though it will still bear the name of RADEON 64MB VIVO. Moreover, ATI is very likely to be increasing the working frequencies of its other RADEON graphics cards as well, in order to make them competitive to the solutions from NVIDIA, which has recently increased the working frequencies for its MX graphics series, for instance, with the announcement of GeForce2 MX400.
