I am aware of the Radeon's HyperZ settings however the drivers were tested in their default settings with the exception of 32-bit Z being enabled. Changing the HyperZ settings would not change the outcome of the comparison so it was not necessary for me to do that.

I will caution you however, ATI's Radeon LE part is made from the regular Radeon parts that failed to work as fully functional Radeon chips. This is why HyperZ is disabled by default on the LE, it's not actually supposed to work on the LE which is why it was turned off. You may be able to get it to work and actually give you a performance boost but there's no guarantee that the card will be reliable with it turned on.

HyperZ isn't all software, it's actually in the Radeon core. This information comes directly from ATI, I may do a brief article on it to set the record straight.

不過.......
要區分正規版和LE版的晶片,
勢必要設計新的IE流程,這樣不是更麻煩?
直接大量生產晶片不是更容易?
還是說ATI早在去年六月發表Radeon時,
就已經規劃要這樣做了?
如果真是這樣的話,那真的挺可惡的
