“If we go over there, they’ll all jump into the water to get on our boat.”
The Freedom Flotilla claims to be on a vital humanitarian mission to save lives.
But when they came across a boat of Sudanese migrants fleeing a brutal regime in Libya, they didn’t help.
In a video, European Parliament member Rima Hassan explains why: the boat was “too small.”
So instead of rescuing the migrants, they let them be arrested by Libyan forces and returned to a country where they face torture, modern-day slavery, and inhumane treatment.
They could have squeezed in a little, maybe given up some tanning space for a few hours. But they didn’t.
Instead, they filmed the arrest from afar.
It wasn’t until a few migrants jumped into the water, choosing to risk drowning rather than return to Libya, that the Flotilla finally took four of them on board, simply because they had no choice.
And the worst part? They turned it into a PR stunt, portraying themselves as heroes, when in reality, they let around 20 other Sudanese migrants be dragged back to hell.
Because in the end, that’s what this is really about
