First of all...

To verify genuine intel's processor needs three steps at least.

1.The Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool.
1-1.the reason you need this is for checking out the processor you own right now that belongs to Boxed version or tray version.

and it will tell you the detail of the functionalities of your intel processor.

2.Intel® Processor Identification Utility.
2-1.the Intel® Processor Identification Utility will provide the information about the processor you are running now.

and it will also tell you what type of intel's processor is running. (although you still need to check the information to know ES or QS).

3.the serial number on the top of intel's processor.
3-1.Batch number (FPO)
3-2.Serial number (ATPO) or Partial serial number (partial ATPO).

however, those two serial numbers may probably be remarked if the one you own is forged.

once you have the processor information, you still need to contact with intel customer service center and provide the information in order to let intel check the type of your intel processor.

the easiest way to get the information is to use HWINFO.
but you still need to contact with intel customer service center and provide the inforamtion to do the same as what i said above.
