I'm in the office, so can't type in Chinese.
Property prices are really crazy in Australia, especially in major cities. A not very impressive apartment in Sydney would cost way more than 1 million if it's close to the city. Rent is very high too. A tiny room in the city with shared amenities would cost at least A$250 upward weekly.
Just like you said, it's all because of Chinese people.
Cars are expensive as well. That's why a lot of people buy used cars.
