It will work. We tried to installed 2 x 1GB UDIMM modules on 2-way Dell R710 servers and no issues were found when powering up those system.
If this is a Dell server, I believe it's R72x series server. Since it's 2U server and disk bay is more than 4.

不過I社的CPU不是都不建議只插一條RAM嗎(2way NUMA的機器總不能一顆插2條,另一顆沒有RAM吧
)....BTW,樓主問這個問題該不會是對整體報價中的機器單價有意見吧,單看機器的單價或許會認為別人賺很大,但是也得把其他部份考慮進去,硬要切出來自行採購未必佔得到啥便宜就是了
....
