與外卡不同區的兩個分區冠軍戰績相同，由於Division Series是哪四隊已確定，對戰組合取決於Major League Rule 34的tiebreaker:

Rule 34 – Post-Season Series
Division Series (“LDS”) – there shall be two best-of-five Division Series in each league. In each league,
the three division champions and the wildcard team qualify for a Division Series.
The team with the best record will play the wild card club unless those teams are from the same division.
If those teams are from the same division, the team with the best record will play the other division winner
with the worst record. The two remaining clubs will play each other.
Ties for records will be broken as follows:
Two clubs:
(1) head-to-head record;
(2) intra-division record;
(3) intra-league record;
(4) second half intra-league record;
(5) second half plus one (1 being the most recent intra-league first half game);
(6) keep adding plus one until one club has the better record.
