Biggio is renowned as a Houston Astros "Killer B" along with teammates Jeff Bagwell and Lance Berkman.

Question
I know that Biggio, Bagwell, and Bell were all called the Killer B's, but the 1st year of them using this term for them who was the 4th?

Thanks,

Sheri

Answer
Hi there,

I first started hearing the phrase "Killer B's" quite often around 1996, but the only ones I recall were, like you mentioned, Craig Biggio, Jeff Bagwell, and Derek Bell. I suppose Sean Berry (the 3B who played a few years in Houston) was occasionally threw in there too, but to the best of my knowledge, there was never a solid 4th member.

Thanks for the question!

原來Killer B(ee)來自於 National Football League’s Miami Dolphins, 後來被 Astros 拿來新定義

Actually, the Killer B's came after the era of Nick Buonoconti and the others you mentioned, except for Doug Betters. The real Dolphin Killer B's were on the 1982 roster-- along with Doug Betters, there was Bob Baumhower, Glenn Blackwood, Lyle Blackwood, Bill Barnett, Charles Bowser, Kim Bokamper, and Bob Brudzinski. AJ Duhe and Don McNeal were sort of honorary members.
