我在技嘉網站上看到GA-965P-DS4
記憶體support 4 dimm 8G,但是記憶體的地方有警示訊息如下
* Due to standard PC architecture, a certain amount of memory is reserved for system usage and therefore the actual memory size is less than the stated amount.
在975的主機板介紹就沒寫上面的警示訊息
不過不清楚所謂的system usage會用掉多少...
865系列時,3G以下通通看不到所謂的system usage情形,bios會顯示完整3G的容量
一用到4G....才知道system usage會用掉600MB左右...bios會顯示3.4G...
我不知道965或975晶片的主機板情形是怎樣???
是插到8G時才會出現所謂的system usage情況嗎???

不是插到8G才會有system usage的情形
你只插64M也會有
system會把pci express, pci option rom, CPU SMI, BIOS shadow.....定址在4G下的位置
當你插3G的時候因為位置沒有和system usage重複
所以bios可以正確report
但是當你插超過3.xG的時候
因為你的實體記憶體和system usage的位置重複
所以bios會少report重複位置的實體記憶體
