if you can afford the benq 7000, i strongly recommend you to consider benq.

reasons:
1. the build quality and overall "look". benq is better looking than compaq. benq has better build quality too. the compaq is plastic case.
2. ATI 9700. you may think you don't need fast graphic if you are not playing games. however, if you want to view HD 1080P WMV files. 855G is not fast enough. in addition, 855G doesn't support directX 9.
3. depends on how long are you planning to own the computer. if you are planning to own it for 3 years. the addition cost of benq is a good investment.
4. the remote control come with benq is quite handy when watching dvd or listen to music. you can use the notebook as entertainment center.
