Just thought I would let you know this:
I have just made some serious listening to my Terratec Space 7.1 soundcard. Wow ... this baby really sounds good.
As I am an audiophile besides my newly started adventure into HT I am used to listen to some very good sounding Hi Fi, and this card, much to my surprise, puts a lot of very expensive High End CD players to shame!!
I have soldered 8 small coax cables to the analog outputs and connected them to 2 x 4 RCA's mounted on two blinding strips in the back of the computer. So it is the analog outputs I refer to!!
And this is as a two channel performer with even the most demanding classical pieces. I do not have a lot of experience in multi channel HT listening, but to my ears it sounds very good indeed as that too.
The only drawback is that this little gem does not support SACD!!!
No CD/DVD rom drives, as far as I know supports this standard either... A shame.
