【閒聊】Plextor PX-W4012TA 燒錄完美音樂 CD 技術：VariRec

If you've read any of the info on Plextor's new PlexWriter 40/12/40A in the last few days, you've probably seen something called VariRec. Like Yamaha's Audio Master technology, VariRec has been designed to reduce jitter. Here's a small bit of their explanation:

"Plextor's newest feature is VariRec: the Variable Recording function. It allows changing the laser power when writing CD-DA on CD-R at 4X. (TAO or DAO). The user can make a slight modification to a default setting. This default setting reflects an optimised laser power with lowest jitter. The result will be a change of sound or sound quality and an increase of playability or compatibility with existing players.

VariRec 類似 Yamaha 的 Audio Master 技術，可以在 4X 時讓使用者進行雷射功率微調（正負兩級），藉由最佳畫雷射功率使 Jitter 的發生降至最低程度，使燒錄 Audio CD 時，讓聲音達到完美的境界！也可以增加硬體相容性。不過請看清楚，要有這樣好康的功能是 4X！各位追求快速燒錄又要求完美音質的人，醒醒吧！ :)

不曉得這個技術是不是和3200一樣也會減少燒錄片可燒錄的容量~
