Win98 Fatal Exeption - Help!
 

My system always hang and displays the following message:

A fatal exeption 0E has occurred at 0028:C0077887 in VXD VREDIR(01)
+ 00006A57......

If I press escape, it can return to Windows. However, when I shut down Windows. It always show a message box something like this:

a user is connect to you computer. shuting down the computer will disconnect it from you

Note: Even my NIC is not connect to the hud. Totally not connect for whole month.

I think it is cause by D-Link 530TX NIC. I have try clean installation and change the RAM by still get same problem.

Please help me to find a solution to solve the problem

My system spec. is as follow:

PIII933Mhz (box)
512MB RAM (2x256 - Apacer and Kingston)
IWILL VD133PL
Leadtek Geforce2 MX
Sound Blaster Live value
D-Link 530TX

As many guys reported, DLink-530 is a troublemaker absolutely.

1, Have you tried the latest drvier of Dlink 530? It might slove your problem.
2, Discard the DLink card and buy a new card. Realtek 8139 is the best choice, If you don't have a lot of money.

I already tried. No use. I think I better change the NIC. Thanks a lot.
