RedHat 安裝Nvidia 驅動問題
 

請問各位

我買了一張730的顯卡

我在RedHat 5.7版 上安裝驅動 出現了ERROR

ERROR: You appear to be running an X server; please exit X before installing.

www.nvidia.com.

這兩個 我也嘗試在用CTRL+ALT+F1切換成文字模式安裝 也是一樣

請問有可能是驅動不支援5.7版嗎?

Ctrl-Alt-F1是無法安裝，要用開機純文字模式下

#vi /etc/inittab
最後一行把5改成3
id:3:initdefault:

重開機到console模式，安裝驅動

#./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-xxx.xx.xx-xxxx.run

#vi /etc/inittab
再把3改回5
id:5:initdefault:

跑一次nvidia-xconfig，重新開機，如果有看到nvidia logo那代表成功，
如果解析度不對，請手動把螢幕最大解析度加進/etc/X11/xorg.conf，
如果都沒用，請把最原始的xorg.conf蓋回被修改過得，再跑一次nvidia-xconfig
