Rangers: McCarthy snapped a three-game losing streak with a 7-1 victory over the Blue Jays on Friday, allowing one run on two hits in six innings. He is 0-3 with a 9.69 ERA in four games, including three starts on the road. He has made just two career relief appearances against the Yankees for a total of 12/3 innings.
Yankees: In his last start -- after pitching 7 1/3 perfect innings against the Mariners --Wang gave up a home run and a single to break up his bid for a perfect game. He struck out four without walking a batter in the Yankees' win over the Mariners. Now, Wang aims for his second straight victory against the Rangers.

球探報告有提到，Joe Torry本來是要把Rasner送回3A，但是在昨天對水手隊的比賽之後他改變主意了，現在Torry必須選擇 要把Rasner還是井川慶放到3A

Yankees: Darrell Rasner pitched 5 2/3 innings of three-hit ball in his last start against the Mariners. He struck out four and walked two, which could be the reason why he might get this start. Manager Joe Torre said Rasner would be sent to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after his start against the Mariners, but the performance he turned in changed some minds. Torre and general manager Brian Cashman now must decide which pitcher will be assigned to Triple-A: Rasner or Kei Igawa. Igawa struggled in his last start against the Mariners, giving up nine hits and eight runs in four innings.
Mariners: Washburn gets another crack at the Yankees, but this time at home. He went into the sixth inning for the sixth consecutive time this season on Sunday at Yankee Stadium, but was on the wrong end of a 5-0 score. It was his fourth career loss to the Yankees in eight decisions. He has started four games at Safeco Field this season, beating the White Sox on May 1, losing to the Rangers and Twins and receiving a no-decision against the Athletics.

去查了一下Pavano的生涯成績，覺得還是他的經紀人厲害，因為他其實從2003年才開始成為投滿整季的固定先發，之前成績其實普普，2003年的成績其實也沒有說頂耀眼：12勝13敗，ERA=4.30，這樣的表現算是個合格的先發投手，成為固定先發輪值OK，但也還好而已。
從他1998年進大聯盟以來真正來說只有2004年才投得像個王牌：18勝8敗，ERA=3.00。
嚴格來說只是1-year-wonder的表現，而且生涯中只有2003和2004這兩年投滿200局以上，洋基居然四年肥約就這樣簽得下去？:shock:

人家史上最貴公園朴贊浩，好歹是連續五年13勝以上+投滿190局以上，拿到五年大肥約也還讓人服氣。Pavano的紀錄其實沒有說很輝煌，洋基也捨得丟那麼多錢下去，只能說真的是評估投資大失敗。:stupefy:
